Foreword

Michel Fégy

The line, the line, the volume, the perspective and the color are all elements that appeal to my imagination and which are the constants of the pictorial elaboration of my work. The drawing will take a large place, he used the memories of my time at Beaux-Arts and the conceptual architectural practice that has occupied me  for many years. We find here and there, the permanence of sometimes incoherent prismatic structures in the form of plastic or dreamlike hallucinations. I've never been locked in historical and aesthetic categories except Expressionnistes and Fauves which I devote a total admiration. For the graphic and thematic freedom of the first, for the explosive use of color of the others.

My compositions with improbable graphic expressions very often call on architectonic language while trying to maintain the cohesion of elements  formal constituents.

The roofs, the facades, the stairs, the arcades, the landscapes, find their unconscious inspiration in the marvelous environment which surrounds me, fields of lavender of the plateau of Albion, plots of poppies between olive trees and vines of the mountains of Vaucluse and Luberon and their hilltop villages; be in my  memories of lived or imaginary journeys, another source of inspiration, with a certain unreality of interpretation. All these representations to the prismatic structures from geometric shapes Euclidienne not tend to essentially very far poetic space realistic painters and occupies a large area of my production. Color possesses me. It's a totally irrational element of my work; perhaps the most essential.
